Sheerness Conservative Club, 25 Broadway, Sheerness, Isle of Sheppey
The building erected in 1897 at a cost of about £6,000 is by W Shearburn according to John Newman in his 1983 book. A William Joseph Shearburn (1833-1924) of Dorking is listed as an architect in an assessment of Post Offices 2008 (Census and other sources suggest his dates as 1854-1921 and he seems to be bankrupt in 1881 around the time he becomes an architect, having previously been listed as a builder). On the buildings 120th anniversary in 2017 the Club carried out an approximately £17k refurbishment, photographs showing it clad in scaffolding. KentOnline suggested it was Grade II Listed in 2017 but I can't find any listing for it now.
