Manchester Metrolink - entrance to tunnel ramp, Eccles
The Metrolink tram route along Eccles New Road (the A57) here starts to descend this ramp to go through a short tunnel under Ladywell Roundabout. It then proceeds a short distance to its terminus at Eccles. On Eccles New Road the trams have shared the street with other traffic, but from this point on it is trams only, as the notice on the left indicates. Image

Eccles New Road
Looking east along Eccles New Road (A57), towards Weaste. Metrolink tram number 2006 stands is heading towards Eccles. 2006 is one of the batch of T68A class trams supplied to Metrolink in 1999 by the Italian company Ansaldo.
