Top o'th Fields 2
Top o'th Fields is a development of 30 warden-controlled, single-bedroom flats that was built in 1972. It is run by Six Town Housing, which is the property management 'arm's-length' company for all of Bury Councils' housing. Top o'th Fields is also the name of the road which runs across the frontage.

Besses o' th' Barn Church
Besses United Reformed Church is designated as a Grade II building by Historic England (List Entry Number: 1309378 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1309378 ). It is situated between Bury New Road and Bury Old Road in the Besses o' th' Barn area of Whitefield
Originally known as Besses Congregational Church, the church was built between 1863 and 1865, to serve the Congregational denomination of nonconformist Christians. At that time, the population of Besses o' th' Barn was approximately 8000. The building is a bicentenary memorial erected to commemorate the secession from the established Church of England in 1662. It was designed in the Gothic Revival style by Alfred Waterhouse.

Golf course with birch trees
The fairways of the Whitefield Golf Club are separated by belts of trees, mostly Silver Birch. Low, afternoon light accentuates the contours of the ground and casts light onto the sides of the trees.
