The former Dean Road Station on the Oldham Loop Line (see Image] and Image]) has now rebuilt as the Metrolink Station for Moston and Newton Heath. Here, Metrolink tram number 3040 arrives on its way to Manchester Victoria and then Chorlton.

Dean Lane Station

Dean Lane railway station / Newton Heath & Moston Metrolink station, Greater Manchester
Opened in 1880 on the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway's "Oldham Loop" line from Manchester to Rochdale, this station closed to 'heavy' rail traffic in 2009. It was rebuilt and reopened in 2012 as part of Metrolink.
View north east towards Failsworth and Oldham after conversion. Metrolink uses the right hand track only, the left-hand line is for freight trains.
