Disused Railway - Little Hulton Station
The last colliery in the area to close was Mosley Common in 1968 and remarkably little evidence of this once mighty industry remains in the Little Hulton and Walkden area. The routes of some colliery railways, such as this one at the site of what was once Little Hulton station on Manchester Road East, have been transformed into walking and cycle routes and are part of the Salford Loop Line network of cycleways.
