Embankment Greengate
Construction work at "Embankment Greengate" http://www.embankmentmanchester.com/ on the site of the former Exchange Station. Two steel and glass office buildings, named 100 and 101 Embankment, will eventually sit 10 metres above the Grade II listed sandstone railway viaduct.

Bridges over the Irwell
On the left is Cathedral Approach Image which formerly carried the railway into Manchester Exchange Station but now leads only to the NCP car park. On the right is Chapel Street bridge carrying the A6041. Behind it is the railway bridge leading out of Victoria Station.
