Arch to County Court,
The arch, in Wilton Place, was the entrance to the old County Court. Frequently referred to as Salford Hundred Court, it is the same scene painted by Lowry in his 1926 piece ‘By the County Court’ (see fig 13 at http://www.hssr.mmu.ac.uk/mcrh/files/2013/01/mrhr_01ii_leber.pdf - "The Remarkable Legacy of LS Lowry" by Michael Leber)

Adelphi House, The Crescent, Salford
A building with an interesting history. Originally built in 1808 as a 2-storey, 5-bay house, it passed into the hands of a community of nuns in 1853, becoming a convent and school. The additional storey in brick and terracotta was added by c.1900, and the building continued as a Catholic school until the late 20th century. It has since become part of the University of Salford.
