This is a Mormon church of the Reorganized variety. What that means, I'm not sure. This is right on the border of Stockport and Tameside metropolitan boroughs.

Borough boundary
Thornley Lane South/Windmill Lane is the boundary between Denton/Tameside and Reddish/Stockport. In the background is the rear of the Denton "Community of Christ" Church. Prior to 2001 it was known as the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

The field was rescued from Developers, a few years ago, by an Action Committee. Once a year, the public are invited to walk on the field to comply with a local bye-law.
