Located in John Rylands Library Image this Little Bee was created by 2nd Monton Girl Guides.
"The Guide Unit worked together to come up with designs that would explain what being a Girl Guide means to them, represented by The Guide Uniform, Guide Promise and Trefoil logo. The base is covered in interlinking handprints signifying equality, unity, friendship and working together."

The Avenue, Spinningfields
Spinningfields is the area of Manchester city centre between Deansgate and the River Irwell which was redeveloped in the 2000s creating twenty new commercial, residential and retail buildings. This photograph shows one of the pedestrian avenues leading from Deansgate to the river. One of the “Bee in the City sculptures (#46 “Love”) is near the front of the photo.
