Didsbury railway station (site), Greater Manchester
Opened in 1880 by the Midland Railway on the line from Chinley to Manchester Central, this station closed in 1967. View north west towards West Didsbury and Manchester. When the Manchester Metrolink reclaimed the line in 2013, encroachment by new building appears to have forced a minor deviation here. The northern end of the old platforms would now be covered by the decking over the tracks, seen in the distance.

Signs and the times
A trendy wine bar partially obscured by the typical urban clutter of uncontrolled signage. I am fairly sure they breed. The trendy winebar, called Botanist, used to be a Wetherspoons but has been "re-imaged" as a cocktail bar. It has a book full of beers and another of cocktails by way of menus.

The Milson Rhodes, Didsbury
Wetherspoon's pub. Wetherspoon's usually try to name their pubs with a local connection, and this is named after a local doctor in the Victorian era who devoted himself to social reform. The rise to the right crosses a former railway which is being resurrected as a Metrolink line.
