Opened in 1880 by the Midland Railway on the line from Chinley to Manchester Central, this station closed in 1967. View north west towards West Didsbury and Manchester. When the Manchester Metrolink reclaimed the line in 2013, encroachment by new building appears to have forced a minor deviation here. The northern end of the old platforms would now be covered by the decking over the tracks, seen in the distance.
