Lodge, Wilmslow Road
The tremendously pointy prelude to Didsbury Towers by Thomas Worthington, c1870. Grade II listed. Its 884 square feet were available to rent at the time.

The Lodge, The Towers, Didsbury
The Towers was the home of Daniel Adamson, the Victorian engineer who was a leading promoter and backer of the campaign to build the Manchester Ship Canal. The blue plaque commemorates the inaugral meeting of that campaign, held here on 27th June 1882. Rory's Bench
This memorial bench in Fletcher Moss Park was made in memory of Rory McGowan, a sixth-form pupil at Parrs Wood Technology College, who was just 17 when he ran into the path of a taxi on Palatine Road in October 2004. Eddie's Bench
This bench near the tennis courts at Fletcher Moss Park is in memory of Eddie Thornber. He was a 17 year old boy from Didsbury and a talented lacrosse player who was due to go to play in America. Tragically he got into some trouble in Cornwall in 2011 and ended up taking his own life. http://www.toms-travels.net/?p=25171
