Evans of Didsbury is a fresh fish shop. Not sure if it sells fish and chips, too?

A Walk in Didsbury Village (29) The Nelson Pub
Another public house, The Nelson stands next to Evans the fish shop on Barlow Moor Road. It advertises BT Sport and Sky Sport. Next to the pub is a specialised butchers, Axons, "Purveyors of fine quality meats". Purveyors is an old fashioned word. The fish shop and the butchers both have tiled fronts around the windows. It is a traditional style, perhaps indicating cleanliness.

A Walk in Didsbury Village (97) Road Junction and Shops Barlow Moor Road and Wilmslow Road
Junction of Barlow Moor Road and Wilmslow Road, west side. A mixture of buildings. On the other side of the Barlow Moor Road junction, there is a large two storey older building. There is another restaurant on the ground floor of that building.

Back on the west side of Wilmslow Road is The Cheese Hamlet, featuring English and Continental Cheese. I wonder how the exit from the EU has affected its import trade?
