Gita Bhavan Hindu Temple
The Gita Bhavan Hindu Temple stands on the junction of Wilbraham Road and Withington Road. The colourful front of the building was added when the original church was made redundant. It lies between Chorlton cum Hardy and Fallowfield. The current O.S. map of 2008 still shows the building with a cross, the symbol for a church, rather than a place of worship.

These private gardens have now been landscaped and the trees no longer exist. The road in the background is Stanley Road. The high wall at the end of the garden is the boundary for the Cenacle Convent's grounds.

Gita Bhavan Hindu Temple, Chorlton cum Hardy
The Gita Bhavan Hindu Temple stands on the junction of Wilbraham Road and Withington Road. Built in 1879, it was originally a Congregational Church which closed sometime before 1987 when it was bought and restored as a temple for the Hindu Community. Part of the restoration includes this colourful frontage to Wilbraham Road.
