Clipstone Brook
This little brook creates a field boundary in farmland just south of the hamlet from which it takes its name. Considering how dry it has been of late, this brook carried quite a reasonable flow of water, suggesting that at rainier times it could be quite a substantial watercourse.

Hole in the hedge
A gap in the hedge between fields in Clipstone. A new gate (see Image]) was lying against the hedge to the right, presumably intended to replace the rickety looking specimen that can be seen on the left.

Hedge, gate and footpath, Clipstone
A footpath leaves the lane through Clipstone just before a little stream. At first the footpath follows the course of the stream along the field boundary then it follows the perpendicular boundary - this view is along that boundary. There is an open gateway to the left of the photographer. It looks as though it will be filled by the recumbent gate pictured here. (see Image])
