| 3 Oct 2025 | Stanbridge The local community policing team is fully aware of the persistent concerns regarding excessive vehicle speeds through the village, particularly in proximity to local schools. We recognise the potential risks posed to both residents and vulnerable road users, and we take these concerns seriously. Response (5 Jan 2026)In response, we are actively collaborating with our partner agencies to implement both immediate and long-term solutions. In the short term, we are able to deploy mobile speed enforcement cameras to deter and detect speeding offences. Additionally, we are engaging with the local authority to explore sustainable traffic-calming measures. These may include the installation of speed humps, permanent speed cameras, and other infrastructure designed to reduce vehicle speeds and enhance road safety. |
