Straight footpath near M1 Junction 12
This well-maintained footpath strikes off in a dead straight line to the east off the B530 near to the M1 Toddington Junction (Junction 12). It forms part of the Icknield Way Long Distance Path. According to the map, Mill Farm lies off to the left here, but the most noticeable thing between here and the junction was a large highways depot and its car park. After a few dozen yards this footpath meets up with a track and crosses the M1 between Toddington Services and Junction 12. The LDP in the opposite direction can be seen here Image] If you look carefully in the very middle of the path, in the mid-distance you can spot a hen pheasant who was regarding me as I took the photo.
