Upper Lea Valley walk 1
Despite being a small sliver of open land, hemmed in between Luton's suburban development, this walk has a feel of the countryside.

Luton: Wardown Park cricket ground
I *think* this is one of the cricket grounds where Bedfordshire play their games in Luton and on which Northamptonshire have played a few First Class games in the past. Beyond the pavilion is the Stockingstone roundabout at the junction of the A6 New Bedford Road with the A5228 Montrose Avenue. Postscript: 10 March 2007: A visitor to the site has commented: "Your location details are fine, but your belief that Beds and Northants play there is slightly out.The Ground they use is situated just behind the one you have photographed. If you check Google maps and enter Wardown Park Luton you will see how close they are." In the absence of any personal knowledge about this I fully accept this comment as being correct!

Wardown Park cricket ground terracing
Rather unusual for a cricket ground. It looks more like an ancient Roman amphitheatre remains. I have since been contacted by Gill who tells me that it is not the cricket ground at all, that is behind me when the photo was taken. This is actually a terrace overlooking the public recreation ground used by schools, sports clubs etc.
