Luton Rail-Bus Interchange
The Interchange came into operation at the end of June 2013 anticipating the opening of the Luton to Dunstable Guided Busway on 25th September. It was built on land once occupied by a multi-storey car park and an earlier bus station (and before that by Bute Street station which closed in 1965). The Busway itself can be seen in the distance. The buildings on the left are student flats and Luton station is out of view on the right.

Exterior of Luton station
This station was opened by the Midland Railway in 1868 and rebuilt by the London Midland & Scottish Railway in 1937. In 2009 it was deemed to be one of the ten worst Category B stations in the country and since then work on upgrading the facilities there has been carried out. The building behind is the station car park which opened in 2011.

Luton Interchange
Luton is connected to Dunstable by a guided busway. The buses which use this serve the Interchange just outside Luton Station, and are identified by route letters, A, B, C etc. rather than numbers. The journey to Dunstable is very quick. Get off at Stop M in Dunstable centre for an easy walk to the Priory.
