Luton: Disused railway
Underneath all this vegetation is the trackbed of the disused Luton to Dunstable railway line. Viewed from the Chaul End Lane overbridge, the trackbed would form the primary route for the proposed Luton Dunstable Translink. The Translink website is here http://www.translinkexpress.org.uk/index.htm

M1 northbound
1/2 mile to junction 11 with the hard shoulder in permitted use and an average speed of about 7 mph for the last 1 km or so - are things speeding up? They were not.

Breakdown on the M1 northbound near J11
My truck broke down at 0334hrs on the M1 northbound near junction 11 when driving back from a delivery in London. This picture was taken at 0553hrs whilst waiting for the recovery truck. He arrived at 0618hrs - not a bad result ! I had started my shift the previous day at 1900hrs so it was a tiring couple of days.
