Transformer station, Macaulay Street, Leeds
This is rather larger than your usual suburban sub-station. I guess it was sited here to serve the local industries.
The electrical equipment bore the name "Hackbridge". According to http://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Hackbridge_Electric_Construction_Co they were in business from 1920 to 1946, which gives a time window for the installation. Is the name related to the large former power station of that name near Croydon? Image
