St Hilda, Cross Green - nave and rood screen
See Image for an external view. The rood screen was added in 1922, not (as was common) as a memorial to the war dead, but "as a thank offering for victory in the Great War". It was designed by Micklethwaite some forty years earlier but omitted from the church when first built.
