Hyde Park Corner, Leeds
Not to be confused with its more famous namesake in London, this is a junction at the heart of Leeds' student quarter. Note the cycle lane protected by 'orca' wands, and the arrow at the traffic lights indicating 'straight on only'. These changes were made in 2020/21 as part of the reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic, but it's still common to see drivers ignoring the signs and turning left across the cycle lane.

This place is a very busy traffic junction and has been so for many years. In the 1940s it was a busy tramway junction. The main road is Headingley Lane, part of the A660. To the right is Victoria Road, from which the red motorcar is emerging.
