Back to drinking at the Bridge Inn
Today was the day pubs reopened in England after a three month Covid lockdown, initially for outdoor service only. Several people were taking advantage of this at lunchtime on a cool but sunny day.

Kirkstall Bridge Inn car park, flooded
The result of the Boxing Day floods in 2015. The "tide mark" of high water came nearly up to the gates over the night of 26/27 December but had receded somewhat by lunchtime.

Bridge Fold, Kirkstall
This gated entrance gives access to the car park of the Kirkstall Bridge Inn; the clock bears the Tetley name, although the inn Image is now an award-winning pub owned by the present-day Kirkstall Brewery.

Wrecked garden, Kirkstall Bridge Inn
The garden of the Kirkstall Bridge Inn (previously the Old Bridge Inn) has been inundated by the River Aire twice in 2 months. The second flood on 26th December has washed away a substantial part of the garden.

Bus queue, Bridge Road
There are normally no more than a handful of people waiting for a bus at this stop. But the one-day Kirkstall Festival was winding down to its close and lots of people were waiting for a bus back towards Bramley, Pudsey, Shipley or Halifax.
