Due to the sloping site these are single-storey dwellings viewed from the rear (although the actual 'front' doors are off this path) but the side of each house facing Gilbert Close has a garage underneath.

Back Alley, Sandford Road, Leeds
The houses look as though they were built in the 1970's, but the sheds at the back of the houses hark back to much older terraced houses with outside toilets along an alley at the back. These only contain the odd bicycle and broken furniture, to judge by what I saw through some open doors.
