Fairbairn House, Clarendon Road, Leeds
Rather a grand affair with its applied portico of giant fluted Corinthian columns under an emphatic balustraded attic. Built in 1840-41 for Peter Fairbairn, engineer, to the designs of John Clark, an architect prolific in Leeds. Grade II listed.
Its current occupants are a bit of a mouthful, the National Institute for Health Research's Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre, which seems to be partly NHS and partly Leeds University.
