Footbridge at Burley-in-Wharfedale station
The station has been open continuously since 1865 but was modernised in the 1970s with the extensive buildings on the southbound platform demolished. The line was electrified in 1995.

Train at Burley station
Probably the 1240 service from Ilkley to Leeds. Burley station was once the junction for the line to Otley, Pool and Arthington, which closed in 1965. Now the station, while well kept and enjoying a frequent service to Bradford, Leeds and Ilkley, is a shadow of its former self, the imposing stone built main building having been demolished in 1968 and replaced by a car park.
