Direction sign, Bingley Road, Menston
An old "West Riding" style sign which gives the grid reference at the top. The directions are hard to read in this view as the sign is in the shade, but it points to Menston (right) and straight on to Hawksworth, Bingley and Keighley (no distances given).
The bus in the background is on route 34 (Leeds to Menston).

Menston Drive, north end
The road has been closed to motor traffic by the simple expedient of a couple of boulders. This allows residents of the new Chevin Park housing estate to walk or cycle to the shops in Menston by the shortest route while motorists have to go round via the main road.
