Eco-Mural, Wharf Street, Leeds
This mural was painted in 2020. The design looked to me like elephants with intertwined trunks, but the official explanation is as follows -
"Measuring 13 metres high and 11m wide, the colourful artwork features a rainbow sunset gradient with bold line work that hopes to communicate the need for all of us to protect our precious earth. The image reflecting an interconnected human effort to protect and nurture the future generations and the planet ... Graphenstone lime-based paints absorb CO2 from the environment during the carbonation process. The mural will actively absorb the same amount of CO2 as an adult tree in just three years". The lettering top left, @insa_gram, is the artist's Instagram page.
