Gregory Moakes' tree
A plaque in front of the tall conifer tree says "in memory of Gregory Moakes" with no other information. I found one reference online to someone of that name being an official of the National Union of Mineworkers in the 1984 strikes, and given that this was a mining area that may well be the person in question.
