Oasis Residence, Cookridge Street
The housing here on the edge of the city centre, in a building designed by Brewster Bye Architects and opened in 2019, is described by property agents as "Premium Executive Deluxe Superior Classic Residence". The Yorkshire Post described it as "One of Yorkshire’s most expensive student accommodation schemes" with apartments costing £300 per week, in a building which includes a cinema room and fitness suite. The taller building on the corner is the failed Hilton Hotel project Image now called 'Vita' and described as 'ensuite studio apartments'.

What could have been
The artist's impression of a finished Hilton Hotel is still on the hoarding of the abandoned site Image, something of an embarrassment to the hotel chain I would have thought.

Still unfinished
No progress on the abandoned Hilton Hotel project in Leeds since my previous photo two years earlier Image I'm very surprised the crane is still there because usually cranes are hired and would be removed by the crane company if the contractor could not pay them.
