Wall end, Spa Lane
The carved direction sign at the top of the stone wall is grade II listed. This eastern end of Boston Spa must have been the more fashionable after the discovery of sulphur wells in the mid 18th century as there are several elegant properties nearby, mostly constructed from the local Magnesian Limestone. Boston's reign as a fashionable spa town didn't last long and was soon overtaken by nearby Harrogate which grew and flourished.
