Old gateposts, Church Street, Guiseley
Details I would not have noticed if I hadn't got into conversation with a man walking his dog, who turned out to have a keen interest in local history. He pointed out one old stone gatepost covered in ivy (right foreground) and another now set into a garden wall on the far side of the bend in front of an evergreen tree. The former marks the start of a lane (now merely a footpath) off to the right, while the latter marks the start of a former access track to properties now replaced by a modern housing development. This end of the street was formerly called Shaw Lane.
