New facilities in St Margaret's church
Since my last visit, this small kitchen has been added in the south-west corner of the church along with a short ramp to improve access through the south porch. Design by the local architect Richard Crooks, who died in 2022 not long after the works were completed.

St Barnabas window in St Margaret's church
Barnabas is not one of the best known Christian saints, but his name means 'son of encouragement' or as given here, 'son of consolation'. The window dates from 1899 and like several others in the church is by Powell Bros. of Leeds.
