Back Clarence Road, Horsforth
Looking across New Road Side at this short road of back-to-back houses. The other halves of the back-to-backs have addresses in Clarence Road. One of these houses has the unusual distinction of being the first house in which shares were traded on the Opromark web site. (Opromark's website http://www.opromark.com/ is now a Chinese website (in 2021), so I suppose it has ceased trading in the UK).

Looking across New Road Side at the north end of Clarence Road. The flagpost in the centre of the picture is at the entrance to the Froebelian School. The houses on the right are small back-to-back cottages. Beyond them are much larger Victorian houses.

This is an independent primary school, founded in 1913. It started by following the principles of Friedrich Froebel on the education of young children - many of which have been adopted by mainstream schools.
