Old Milestone by the A660, Leeds Road, Bramhope parish
Carved stone post by the A660, in parish of BRAMHOPE (LEEDS District), Leeds Road, junction with Creskeld Lane, on the verge in small triangle, on East side of road. Leeds detail stone, erected by the parish in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : M. F. / BRAMHOPE CHURCH .7. / POOL BANK 1.3. / OTLEY CHURCH 4.4. / ADEL SCHOOL 1.7. / LEEDS BRIDGE 7.1. : : M. F. / KIRSKILL HALL 1.2. / ARTHINGTON HALL 2.2. / CASTLEY FORD LANE 1.4. / ARTHINGTON STATION 1.6. : Grade II listed. Old milestone
This is the 'back' of the stone at the junction of the A660 Leeds Road with Creskeld Lane. Arthington Station puts its setting up into the early days of the railways. It is Grade II listed 1262801.

Old milestone
This is the only one of these stones mentioned in Tracks and Roads in a Yorkshire Parish by Don Cole that has legends on both the front, facing the A660 and back, facing Creskeld Lane. It is set in the slim triangle of grass between the two roads and this photograph shows the A660 face.
