Rondpoint with trees in Lawnswood cemetery
The roads in the cemetery will only be used by occasional hearses or maintenance vehicles, so the circular features are not 'roundabouts' in the usual road traffic sense. They are described in the listing by the French term 'rondpoint'.

Lawnswood was Lawns Wood before it was made into a cemetery, although the southern part is a later extension onto a field and these trees were no doubt planted to make an attractive parkland.

The Columbarium at Lawnswood - memorial cross
One of a small number of such crosses in the columbarium Image, honouring war heroes. This one is to Tony Phythian, killed in Burma in 1944, and his father who died the same year.
