Manston St James the Great: Lady Chapel
The side chapel forms a widened section of the south ambulatory. The chairs are more modern than those in the nave. The window behind the altar depicts St Mary.

Manston St James the Great: arcade
This view of the interior of the 1913 building shows how the church architecture is typical of the time, with unadorned stone walls, narrow ambulatories rather than wide side aisles, wooden chairs rather than pews, and a raised chancel beyond a stone wall (rather than ornate screen). The stained glass east window is much later (1963).

Manston St James the Great: font
The font is at the rear of the Lady Chapel. The architects' original plan available on the Church Heritage Record shows it was intended to go in a separate baptistery at the west end of the church (which was not built until 1963), so the font may always have been here.
