New housing at Seacroft, from across the railway
The site of the former Seacroft Hospital is now being redeveloped for housing, seen here from Primrose Valley Park to the south (the farm that gave its name to the park has been demolished but would have been in this view, just this side of the railway fencing that can be seen between the bushes).

Sewer vent in Halton Deans
This pipe with a wire cage is most likely a sewer vent, and there is probably a manhole within this vegetation-covered mound.

Seacroft hospital tower
The tower was built in 1904 as a water tower as part of the expansion of the original infectious diseases isolation hospital, architect E T Hall. Source: Historic England grade II listing (list entry 1255580). Possibly the only water tower with a public clock?

Railway west of Cross Gates
The line east of Leeds to York, Selby and beyond is generally busy. At one time it had four tracks but is now only two, which limits capacity. For that reason, freight and charter trains are mostly routed by other lines where possible.

A long corridor in Seacroft Hospital
This leads to the X-Ray department and the Hearing and Balance Centre. I like the decoration on the cast-iron beams supporting the ceiling.
