These older houses survive: many others in this part of Bramley have gone, including those on Cautley Street (which led off to the right in front of the white-walled house in the photo, and has disappeared altogether).

This open space opposite Railsfield Mount is shown on old maps as the site of Cleopatra Street and Cleopatra Place. I don't know why it has never bee redeveloped.
