Path into Bramley Park from the Fairfield estate
The path currently runs dead straight between the houses from Rosemont Terrace, crossing Fairfield Terrace (here) and Fairfield Hill. Its origins can be seen on the 1908 map as a field boundary from Stanningley Road all the way up to the top corner of what was then the much smaller Recreation Ground. On the 1965 map, after the Fairfield estate was built, the whole length is shown as a footpath, but the lower part of the estate has since been redeveloped and the section below Rosemont Terrace has been lost as a path.

Barriers at an entrance to Bramley Park
The barriers prevent any users other than pedestrians getting into the park from Fairfield Hill. I guess the main intention is to stop youngsters on mopeds.

Footpath towards Bramley Park
This path now only starts at Rosemont Terrace part way up the hill, but on older maps is shown as running straight from Stanningley Road over the hill to Upper Town Street. This is the view from Fairfield Street.
