Bramley, fire service building
The large red doors give the initial impression that this is an actual fire station, but a closer photo Image shows that it is no longer so: this is now an administrative centre for the fire service. The original fire station closed in 2007 Image and had extensions built around it before reopening in 2008 as the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Delivery Centre. Local 999 calls are handled here.
The roadworks in the foreground are part of the extensive construction of the Leeds-Bradford cycle superhighway.
