Holy Family Catholic Primary School, Armley
Above the main entrance is a statue group of the Holy Family (Mary, Joseph and Jesus) and below it the date 1926. Viewed through the outer perimeter fence but the fences around the sports pitch obscure the view of the main building.

A strange birthday present
This large plastic Number One was on the pavement outside a house in Abbott Road, Armley. On it are several handwritten messages along the lines of "Happy first birthday, Virgin Trains". The company was started in 1997 so this dates the artefact to 1998: what was it doing here nearly twenty years later?
