Wilde Child brewery, Armley Road
Modern craft breweries are not large factories with tall chimneys giving off strong aromas of malted barley, but occupy almost anonymous small industrial units like this with no obvious smell.

Since LNER started using bi-mode Azuma trains, the frequency of through trains from London to Harrogate has been increased to two-hourly. Here the 11.36 Harrogate to Kings Cross approaches Leeds on diesel power formed by unit 800108.

Sprinter train passing Armley
Usually these Sprinters are only seen on Carlisle trains, but the current temporary Covid-19 timetable didn't show such a service any time around noon (this was taken at 12.02). Unit 156867 may therefore have been operating an extra unadvertised service or empty stock movement.

Freight trains paused alongside Canal Street
Whitehall Junction outside Leeds station is a notorious problem spot for timetable planners as slow moving freight trains have to cross several very busy passenger lines on the flat. So freights have to await their timetabled 'paths', like the southbound empty scrap wagons on the left. The Tarmac wagons on the right have already crossed Whitehall Junction northbound but then held for a long time on the slow line awaiting a slot on the two-track Aire Valley line. These are probably bound for one of Tarmac's limestone quarries beyond Skipton. Viewed from a footbridge Image
