Nineveh Road at Nineveh Bridge
The bridge was rebuilt as a steel through-girder in 2001. A combination of high skew and vertical alignment compelled the designer to use three main girders, with one forming a central reservation to the road. The steel plate girders are protected from corrosion and impact by concrete.

Nineveh Road bridge
The bridge carries the road over the Leeds to Castleford railway line. It consists of a modern steel deck with vertical curvature between older stone abutments. Image shows it better in profile. In the foreground of this photo is what looks to be a capped off water or gas main, which I presume was replaced by a pipe built into the new bridge deck.
