Marshall Court, Marshall Street, Leeds
A former flax warehouse, listed grade 2* (list entry 1375161). The listing explains that "this was the first building Marshall built on the south side of Hol Beck when he extended his works in 1808 and it illustrates the early use of the cast-iron frame, being the earliest surviving of his Leeds buildings to use the cast-iron column and beam and brick-arch system". It is now home to several businesses in both the engineering and service sectors.

Former flax warehouse, Marshall Street
Part of John Marshall's flax spinning complex, dating from 1808. The earliest surviving building to include Marshall's use of cast iron column and beam construction with brick arch floors. Listed Grade II*.

This rather plain wall formed part of the boundary wall of John Marshall's flax-spinning complex, built as part of his 1808 extension. Listed Grade II, the Listing includes the workshop http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5741405 built against it.
