This is one of three fords on the Scrivelsby Beck within the Scrivelsby Estate. It is close to Scrivelsby Court and the Lionsgate on the B1183.

Old pond on the Scrivelsby Estate
There are many earthworks on the estate, from brick pits to ponds, old enclosure ditches and a plague village. This one is believed to be an old pond.
