Follow my leader? Melville Street (A15), Lincoln
The 'L' stands for learner. A person who hasn't legally passed a test of competency to drive a vehicle must carry an 'L' plate (or 'D' plate in Wales) on the front and rear of the vehicle. Although not a legal requirement, you should remove the 'L' plates from the vehicle when you have passed your test. This will avoid the possibility of being stopped by the police.
