Brick and stone in Leadenham
Leadenham is situated on the Lincolnshire Edge, a limestone ridge running S-N through the county, providing good quality stone for building. In the High Street are stone built cottages and an attractive brick house with limestone detailing.

The George Hotel
The A17 road to Sleaford once went through Leadenham, and this Coaching Inn stood on a tight corner. It was popular with the Carriage Trade, and I have stopped here myself from time to time. The village is now bypassed, But the George is largely unchanged and worth a visit if you want a well-prepared home made lunch. This is a grade II listed building, and the Historic England listing describes the fabric as "Mid 18th and early 19th" century (https://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1061870 ). The Inn's own website suggests it is named for George III (http://www.thegeorgeatleadenham.co.uk/aboutus.shtml )
