Village Cross, High Street, Washingborough
Grade II Listed and a Scheduled Ancient Monument the base and socket-stone are medieval (probably 15th century) with a late 19th century restored shaft and head. Further restoration was carried out in 1947. The three lower steps include notches, some containing iron fragments, which indicate that the steps were formerly partly clamped together. It is believed to stand in its original position and a good example of a medieval standing cross with a stepped base.
